Hi, I’m Frank…welcome, in daily life I’m involved in graphic design and photography as\nArt director in an architecture, design and communication planning studio.For about twenty years I have been carrying on my project that is based on the representation of disillusionment\naesthetics, a theme dear to me since I have always found it much more interesting to tell about a beauty\n\u201cother\u201d than the clich\u00e9s of the standardized one. My portraits tell of singularities, of particularities, of\nimperfect faces and lives…of that \u201capparent ugliness\u201d that when taken with ironic lightness turns\ninto absolute beauty, into the beauty of the unusual. In my artistic life I have gone through different styles and experimented with different techniques, from digital graphic design projects\nto mixed techniques on a photographic basis, my search went on until one day rummaging through\nin my old materials I found the improbable sketches of my early work, and BOOM! it was the\nsimple uncorrupted vision of it all! what I was stubbornly searching for I had been preserving forever among the\nunconscious folds of my papers…at that moment I decided therefore to go back to stripping myself of all\ntechniques to rejoin my initial form, starting anew with the desire for portraiture that\nhas generated in me this ironic love of \u201capparent ugliness\u201d that has always so amused me.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
